Warts Treatment & Information |
| If
you are looking for some genital warts information or
a treatment that you can apply and use in your own house
without the cost and embarrassment of visiting a doctor
then this website is the place to be! This HPV genital
warts treatment site has been created with the goal to
help HPV sufferers find the most effective treatment they
can get, at a cost everyone can afford!
Genital
warts are caused by HPV which stands for Human Papilloma
Virus. Genital warts have an uneven appearance and can
vary in shape and size from small red-white spots to large
lumps that look like cauliflowers.
HPV
warts are usually contracted by having sexual relations
with an infected partner. Even close genital contact is
all it takes to spread the virus. The warts are normally
painless but may be itchy, although they may become painful
during sexual intercourse depending on the location of
the warts. Treatments are available for HPV warts and
every treatment has been reviewd by buyers of the products
on this site, helping give you a better understanding
of the treatments that are available.
Genital
warts in Europe and America is the most common sexually
transmitted disease (STD). The majority of patients are
between the ages of 16-35 years. Warts that appear on
your hands and fingers do look similar to HPV wart but
they are 2 different viruses. HPV genital warts are a
lot more contagious and they should be treated as soon
as they are discovered. HPV warts is the most common reason
given for a man or woman visiting a sexual health clinic.
In the USA, its estimated 18 million sexually active people
have the HPV virus, a figure that is increasing 9% year
upon year, but there are estimates that show there's 5
million new cases actually transmitted each year!
For
men genital warts can appear anywhere on the penis, on
the scrotum or in the groin. Homosexual men may also get
infected in the anus and rectum. In women genital warts
usually occur around the opening of the vagina (vulva),
but can occur in the folds of skin alongside the vaginal
opening, to the womb, or around the anus. Both men and
women can get the warts in their mouth and down the throat
after engaging in oral sex.
Both men and women are equally at risk of developing the
hpv virus. In rare cases adults and children can be infected
indirectly, for instance through the use of an infected
towel. Babies can also be infected during delivery
(see
hpv during pregnancy).
There
are just over 90 known types of human papilloma virus.
Genital warts are caused by HPV types 6, 11, 16, 18, 30,
42, 43, 44, 45, 51, 52 and 54. Types 6 and 11 are responsible
for 95% of all cases. HPV is also responsable for causing
many cases of cervical cancer, and the majority of anal
cancer cases; types 16 and 18 account for 75% of cases.
A sudden and strong eruption of warts could suggest a
defect in their bodies immune system perhaps caused by
another serious illness.
Anyone
affected with warts on their genitals or thinks they may
have contracted the HPV virus should seek a treatment
immediately to stop them spreading. We would advise you
tell your partner of your concerns too, so they can arrange
an appointment for treatment
(see what are genital warts?). |
How
do you know you have genital warts?
 |
| If
you have contracted HPV you may not have any visible symptoms
yet, as symptoms tend to occur a few months after contraction.
Sometimes several years pass without any symptoms. However
even without showing any symptoms it still leaves a healthy
partner vulnerable to becoming infected during sexual
activity.
If a person suspects that they may have been exposed to
the HPV virus, but doesn't yet have any symptoms, their
doctor can take a swab to test for strains of the virus
(available in most countries). Woman can get this performed
alongside a cervical Pap smear test (see
vaginal genital warts).
Pap Smear testing on woman are done regularly and if the
patient tests positive for genital warts they should have
Pap smear tests as regularly as every six months even
if their genital warts have gone due to links with cervical
cancer.
A
doctor or nurse can usually tell whether you have genital
warts just by looking closely at the affected area. If
warts are suspected but are not obvious, the doctor may
apply a weak 5% vinegar-like solution
to the effected area; this turns any warts white and therefore
makes them more visible. |
How
do i remove my genital warts?
 |
There
is no cure for HPV. If you have been unfortunate to catch
the virus then it is with you all of your life. The virus
can be dormant in your body for years and suddenly you
will develop some genital warts. To stop outbreaks during
your lifespan your immune system can help attack the virus.
Thisd can be done buy having a strong immune
system. Once
HPV warts have grown they don't typically die and will
require a treatment.

If
you have contacted hpv then we hope we can help you to remove
them, and help you take measures to avoid them returning. We
are the only site that publish actual reviews from buyers of
all the HPV genital wart treatments available in the world.
Unfortunatley
there isn't a magic pill for HPV, there isn't a cure. If you
are infected with HPV you have it for ever. The good news is
your bodies immune system can try to ‘fight off the virus'
helping it can become dormant for years and then reappear. But
once warts have formed on your genitals there is only a small
chance they will disappear on their own. So they will require
some form of treatment. Although some genital warts can disappear
after 2-4 years if left untreated.
